Acupressure

Acupressure originated in China as part of the traditional Chinese Medicine, specifically in the form of the hands-on therapy known as Tui Na, and was further developed in Japan, primarily in the form of Shiatsu Massage.

Acupressure

What to expect:
It's similar to acupuncture, except that the hands are used to apply pressure to the specific points rather than needles, producing similar therapeutic results.

The acu-points are located on specific energetic pathways, or meridians. Practitioner uses fingers, thumbs, palms, and elbows to access the acu-points and stimulate energy flow, to tonify deficiency of energy, and to disperse any excess. Acupressure works well in combination with Thai Massage and Tui Na.
