Pre & Perinatal Massage

Prenatal massage relieves muscle cramps, spasms, and pain often encountered in the lower back, neck, hips, and legs during pregnancy. Side-lying positions and body pillows are used for extra comfort.

Reiki
The word Reiki is composed of two Japanese words - Rei and Ki. Reiki is a hands-on energy healing. A practitioner acts as a channel for the life energy to flow into the recipient and, if needed, induce a healing effect. Placing of the hands is used in a specific pattern to direct and generate energy in various parts of the body.

This is a blend of various therapies such as Swedish Massage, Reiki, Deep Tissue, and others, to induce the Relaxation response.

Shiatsu

Japanese word for "finger" (shi) "pressure" (atsu). Originated in China as part of the Traditional Chinese Medicine, and later, developed into a similar manual therapy in Japan. Similar to acupuncture, except that the hands are used to apply pressure to the specific points rather than needles, producing similar therapeutic results. The acu-points are located on specific energetic pathways, or meridians. Practitioner uses fingers, thumbs, palms, and elbows to access the acu-points and stimulate energy flow, to tonify deficiency of energy, and to disperse any excess.

Sports Massage
Sports massage was originally developed to help athletes prepare their bodies for optimal performance, recover after a big event, or function well during training. Sports massage emphasizes prevention and healing of injuries to the muscles and tendons. But you don't have to be in the Olympics to benefit from sports massage. Sports massage is also good for people with injuries, chronic pain or restricted range of motion. The massage therapist generally concentrates on a specific problem area.

Swedish Massage

Also known as Circulatory Massage, Swedish massage is done with oil, lotion, or cream directly on the skin, on a massage table, with the recipient draped appropriately with sheets. The focus is on improving circulation, lymphatic flow, and reducing superficial muscle tightness.

Thai Massage

...is a form of therapeutic bodywork from Thailand. A combination of gentle point pressure, a wide variety of yoga-like stretching, and passive joint movements, applied very slowly with gentle rocking and rhythmic compressions along your body’s natural energy lines called the Sen lines. While very relaxing, Thai massage is known for inducing an energetic effect as well. It benefits the physical and mental well-being and is especially effective at releasing chronic muscle tension and reducing mental stress.
