- Lower your Stress Level - Feel More Accepting of All Aspects of Yourself We are offering an eight-week meditation class for beginners, and experienced meditators who want to re-invigorate their practice. We will learn the basics of meditation and explore a variety of techniques from the world's spiritual and faith traditions. You will be encouraged and supported in beginning a regular practice at home, and guided in keeping a journal of your experience. Classes will be held on Sunday evenings from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Class will begin on February 19th and run through April 15th. (No class on April 1st) Suggested Donation: $15 drop in; or $110 for the eight-week series. About the instructor: Beth has been passionate about meditation since she discovered it in 1989. She has sat with numerous teachers in the Buddhist, Yogic, and Sufi traditions. Beth has been a licensed massage therapist since 1993 and has been with Eastwest since it opened in its Washington Street location. Beth was on staff at The Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health from 1995 through 2006 where she was a full-time massage therapist and taught yoga and meditation classes. She also holds a Masters Degree in Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy and has worked in the mental health field for several years where she loves to introduce yoga and meditation to people suffering with acute and chronic mental health and substance abuse issues.
