Shoulder Kinks and Knots
”I have this kink (or this crick) right there,” – I hear this all the time as a client points somewhere in the shoulder area.
A simple and effective way to loosen and release the shoulder area is to take 2 minutes a day to practice the Abdominal Twist on the back.
Roll the knees over to one side. Stretch the arms out.
Then, with the arm that rests in the opposite direction from the knees – move up and down along the floor for a few seconds to get a good stretch in the Chest muscles (the Pectorals).
Then, rest the arm for a few breaths, enjoying the opening and feeling how relaxed the shoulders get.
Repeat on the other side.
When you get up, you’ll see how much looser the shoulders feel. Now you can breathe!
