Personal Info

Slava was born and grew up in Siberia, Russia, and from a young age, was trained in and competed at the National/Olympic-level gymnastics and judo.

He left Russia at sixteen and was fortunate to live and study in many countries including England, Germany, and the U.S.

Yoga Class

In 2002, Slava completed his first Yoga Teacher Training in the tradition of Swami Satchidananda. By 2005, he finished a two-year Structural Yoga Therapy™ program and became involved in the therapeutic work of yoga.

He continued his study of the healing arts by receiving a Massage Therapy Certification (2004-2006) from International Professional School of Bodywork in San Diego with specializations in Thai Massage, Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage), Deep Tissue Sculpting, and Neuromuscular Therapy.

Thai MassagePromptly after the massage school, Slava started his practice, working at various healing arts and massage therapy centers in San Diego, including Scripps Hospital, La Jolla Acupuncture, and Prana Yoga Center.

After his 'western' training and work experience, Slava ended up going to Thailand to get more advanced training, where he had the opportunity to study with the following schools and teachers:
Thai massage~ Thai Massage School of Chiang Mai;
~ Mrs. Nit Chaimongkon;
~ Mr. Sinchai;
~ Mr. Jack Chaya at the Lek Chaya Nerve Touch School;
~ Mr. Koji Hiroshige, one of the primary students and instructors in the lineage of Master Pichest Boonthume.

In 2006, Slava put together two of his favorite modalities to create Thai Muscular Therapy, an effective massage therapy technique for athletes and people with injuries.

In 2007, Slava moved to Boston, and founded East West Massage Therapy Center.
