Personal Information Zoe is a Certified Practitioner of Shiatsu with the American Organization of Bodywork Therapies of Asia (AOBTA) and completed a Diploma in Shiatsu and Oriental Therapies at the Australian Shiatsu College in Melbourne.Zoe's close understanding of Japanese culture greatly informs her Shiatsu practice. While living and studying in Japan over the course of 14 years, Zoe began her Shiatsu training in Tokyo at the Kimura Shiatsu Institute. Studying Zen Shiatsu, she developed an appreciation of the stillness and empty space where deep healing takes place. She concluded her studies at the renowned Australian Shiatsu College in Melbourne, Australia. She has practiced at several clinics, spa retreats, and conferences including one on Toyo Hari, a noninvasive style of Japanese acupuncture.
Zoe's style of Shiatsu is based on Zen Shiatsu and combines rhythmic, fluid stretches with acupressure to unblock meridians and assist the flow of energy. Her unique treatments help restore balance and resiliency, releasing your body's innate capacity for healing. In 2009, Zoe relocated to Boston. She is also a teacher, linguist, papermaker and artist who has a love of nature, swimming, walking, yoga, cooking, and travel.
